Bell and I had dinner at Quiznos. Instead of having my favorite Zesty Grill Steak sandwich, I decided to have something different this time.

I had the Mesquite Chicken sandwich with brown bread. The brown bread was really soft and tasty. I let Bell try a bit of it and she agreed that the bread was tastier than Subway’s. Besides, thick chunks of chicken, the sandwich also contained bacon, melted cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion and ranch dressing. It was tasty and I enjoyed dinner.

Then Bell and I shared a brownie with ice-cream from Tully’s Coffee. I laughed when I saw that the ice-cream came in a cup. The brownie was quite nice and we enjoyed the dessert. Bell commented that it was not bad and wasn’t too expensive.

Pooh Bear and I went to Quiznos for lunch. Both of us ended up ordered exactly the same thing. We each had the sandwich + drink + soup/salad/cookie combo ($9.60). We chose the Zesty Grill Steak which had thinly sliced beef, mushrooms, onions, mozzarella, cheddar, honey bourbon mustard and zesty grille sauce. For some sandwiches, there is a choice of bread but not for the Zesty Grill Steak. We also chose the chocolate chunk cookie.

What I liked about Quiznos was that there was a side table where you could add sauces or pickles or jalapeños to the sandwich. My favorite was the creamy horseradish sauce and I added some for this sandwich.

The sandwich was very nice. The bread was soft, the beef was tender and the cheese was melty. Everything tasted so nice that it was hard not to gobble everything down. We finished off with the cookie which was warmed up so that the chocolate was a bit melted and gooey.

This is much better than Subway.

At the end of a particularly trying week, Bell and I went to Harry’s for dinner and drinks. I had the jazz burger ($17) which was supposed to be their specialty and Bell had lamp chops ($13). As you can see in the photo, the burger is small. As if to make up for the size of the burger, and I suspect to make sure that customers are full, there was a mountain of fries. I felt a bit cheated. I mean, come on, this is one of the recommended dishes and looks just like this? Fries are not that expensive, you know. I’m not asking for a gigantic burger but I definitely don’t feel that such a small burger is worth $17. Especially when I compare it to the lamb chops which has more generous portions and are cheaper.

Anyway, I was so angry about what happened at work that I drank two glasses of mojito.
